A new ponytail at Macy's

Time for a change, I told a lady shopping in the wig department.

"I think a ponytail would give me a lift."

"Yeah, your hair's straight."

It sure is.  Gloria, the stylist, tried a few ponytails of different lengths and shades before deciding on this one and styling it for me.
It looks good with jeans, and changed my mood.  I felt like a different person.
Gloria has worked in Macy's wig department for seventeen years and as a stylist for forty. She performed similar transformations for the four women ahead of me who walked away happy, eager to get home and show their husbands.  It was a busy day in the wig department--there was a sale on--but all of us bought pieces that looked the best, the price was secondary.

The Nigeria Independence Day parade made its way down Second Avenue.  It was a beautiful cool day in the city.  Many watched the parade while having brunch in pubs and cafes.  Here's a video clip of child stilt walkers. Love the music! video
